it’s been crazy! that’s the usual though these days lol.

so thursday, last week, after work i came home and relaxed a bit and then took a shower with maximum exfoliation for our spray tanning session lol. we met up at dana’s house, had a quick bite and then headed to michelle’s house to get golden. it was really cool and we had a really nice time. michelle had out snacks and stuff and jen, our airbrush tan specialist, was super cool. overall i think everyone was satisfied with the results and we’ll likely do it again before the wedding.

friday, i had off from work, and pete did too which was nice. i did a few things in the morning and then my cousin, hope, came over to hang. we met up with pete at the duplex a little later and then pete’s family all came down to see the duplex and to hang. hope left and anna, bean and i ran to target for a quick girl shopping trip. we came back and then we all went to dinner together. i love when both our families are together. it seriously makes me so smiley. i’m thrilled to be part of his family and to have him be part of mine and for us to all be joining together. it’s pretty great. everyone headed back home after that and pete and i watched pineapple express and chilled until bed.

saturday was matt & lindsey’s stadium wedding. we got up in the morning and had breakfast. we showered, packed, got ready. we went to get gas and i stopped for a few things i needed from my place and then we headed down to philly for the wedding. the drive was surprisingly quick and, since we didn’t have to drive into the heart of downtown, it was pretty easy too. we arrived around three thirty, checked in and headed up to our room. our room was handicap accessible, which was interesting. the amount of detail they paid for someone who was in a wheelchair was great, but for us, having the entire bathroom technically be the shower was a little interesting. slippery stuff haha. but otherwise the room was nice. we relaxed for awhile and started getting ready to walk over. when pam and paul arrived, we met up with them and walked over to the field. it was about a block and a half away from the hotel which was nice. we got there and saw marissa & robin, and we walked in with them. we walked right out into the stands near home plate and had great seats. the ceremony was short and sweet. two little readings, their vows and that was that. they kissed, hooray! and then, they ran the bases! it was really very sweet. matt and lindsey looked so happy & their families were all really happy too. it was great! after the ceremony we headed up to cocktail hour. there were little hot dogs, sliders with some toppings, cheesesteak wontons, and pulled pork. also the bar of course. we all hung out and talked. we got to see matt and lindsey, we took some photos. we all caught up and chit chatted. fun fun :]. after, we headed back downstairs to the diamond club for the reception. the room was really cool, all decked out in phillies but still classy lol. the centerpieces were cute, long tubes filled with green grassy stuff, with baseballs & white string lights. the bridal party and newlyweds were announced, the best men made their toast and then we had dinner. there was a buffet with chicken, salad, pastas, good stuff. we got to go out near the field too, it was cool seeing it without the lights. we danced and ate and laughed. it was really fun. it was nice being with our whole college crew again too. after the wedding, we walked back to the hotel. we were all pretty beat so we went to bed.

sunday morning, we woke up got ready, packed up and said goodbye to everyone. we ended up having brunch at skylark again on the way home which was delicious as usual. we got back to my apt and spent the rest of the day pretty much relaxing. we watched some tv and snuggled up. we ended up going to best buy and target to look for movies. we walked around home goods for a bit too which was fun. we came back and watched couples retreat, pretty funny. after that we went to bed.

monday morning, we got up and were going to run some errands and relax but we ended up going to my cousins house and we spent the day swimming and hanging out with my fam. it was really fun. we came back to the duplex, and watched some episodes of good eats before we hit the hay.

yesterday, i had off from work again which was a nice treat. i spent the day with my mom, super fun. we made pizelles, yum, and we went for lunch, we did a little shopping too. i got shoes for my bridal shower on sunday. we came back and i ended up going with my dad to get an air conditioner for the duplex. then my dad and uncle mo and pete painted the spare room and set up the air, thank goodness, i thought poor pete was going to melt without it lol. after that, i ended up leaving because the weather was going to get crazy. i came home and got ready for bed. pete had to stop over because he couldn’t find his phone charger, which was nice to see him again, and then i went to bed.

today, back at work. i had four kids absent and then one went home with a very swollen bug bite, so it was a bit of a quiet day. just getting assessments and stuff done mostly this week which is good. i got my nails done for the shower, i’ll probably post a picture and now i’m just relaxing.

tomorrow, thursday dinner is at dana’s, not sure what we’re doing on friday and saturday, i know pete’s office has company softball saturday so maybe we’ll go to that. and then sunday is the shower. i’m really excited! my whole thing is that i’m just really happy that we’re going to be together and that i get to spend the day with wonderful ladies. all i know is the date and time. i also know where it is and i asked my mom about the food because of course, that’s important info lol but otherwise i have no idea what’s going on. i know that my mom, sister, mother in law & sister in law and bridesmaids have been working really hard to make it special and i know it’s going to be beautiful. i am so incredibly grateful to be sharing this time with them and that they’re going so far out of their way to make me feel special and loved and to so strongly support my relationship with pete. it makes me wanna cry super big happy tears. really lucky. :]

i took the monday following the shower off from work thinking i’d be helping pete move, but since we already did that, i’ll take the day to put things away and clean up which will be good. i can help my mom with some other wedding stuff too. after the shower we really have to focus on all the details. i’ve gotten some of that done today, booked our room for the wedding night, got in touch with the hotel about the room block and added more rooms, sent our venue our menu selections, emailed our bakery about the cake design… all that, but still lots of things to do! it’s really so exciting and i couldn’t be happier. GAH! :D
